Paul Cairney (born 29 August 1987 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer contracted to Partick Thistle.
Starting his First Team career with Queen's Park in December 2005, Cairney came to real prominence in the season 2006–07, where he began to play more frequently for the Spiders. In the summer of 2008, Cairney signed a 3 year deal with Partick Thistle but was loaned back out to Queen's Park for six months.[1] This loan was subsequently extended in January to the end of the season.[2]
Cairney returned from his loan spell at the end of the 2009 season. He made his Professional debut in the Challenge Cup against Airdrie, coming on as a substitute. His full and home debut came against Berwick Rangers in the League Cup.
